What is agua fresca
Agua frescas trace their roots back to the vibrant streets of Mexico, where refreshing drinks are a way of life. I like to imagine myself strolling through bustling markets, surrounded by vibrant displays of fresh fruits.
Come on now, I live in Illinois, let me live a little here...
So from Mexico (not the midwest), the idea of agua fresca was born—a traditional Mexican beverage that combines fruit, water, and a touch of sweetness.
This is the perfect addition to Mexican recipes or your taco bar party and pairs amazingly well with pollo asado tacos.
