Tips for slow cooker shredded buffalo chicken

  • Use whatever hot sauce you prefer for your slow cooker buffalo chicken. My fav is Frank’s Red Hot.
  • This can be made ahead of time as a freezer meal, then thawed and cooked.
  • Use more sauce for extra spicy, less sauce for less spicy.

How do you shred buffalo chicken?

You can remove your buffalo chicken from the slow cooker and shred with two forks.

Another alternative – put it into your stand mixer and let the paddle attachment do the shredding.

Tip: I like to put a paper plate over the top to keep everything from flying out the of the mixer!
