Sweet and Spicy Peach Dip is a little sweet with a little heat!
One of things I love about this super easy cream cheese recipe is that I usually have all the ingredients on hand in my fridge.
I mean, I'm always well equipped for dairy based recipes. And the rest of the ingredients I usually have, except the green onions. Generally, they don't make it onto my weekly grocery list.
I don't know about you, but usually when I buy green onions for a specific recipe, I use two or three at most. Then, the rest sit in my vegetable drawer until I finally notice they're a wet mushy mess. So, I try not to buy them when I don't have to.
I have a fix for that, though!
The answer can be found in a jar of dried chives. That sounds very "ahhh, grasshopper", doesn't it?
Okay, maybe not.
Anyway, if you don't have/want/need green onions for anything else, just substitute about a tablespoon of dried chives.
You're welcome.

If you don't have peach preserves is to use apricot preserves. Either one of these pair nicely with chicken and pork, if you're looking for a reason to use up your leftover preserves.
Basically, all you have to do is soften your cream cheese. Set it out on the kitchen counter for a bit so it can let loose a little bit.
I know, it feels like it takes forever. Soften, darn it, soften!!! Hang in there...
Actually, here's a tip! To soften the cream cheese faster, place it in a ziplock bag, then submerge in room temperature water for about 15 minutes.
That does the trick!
Once the cream cheese has done its thing, put it in a medium sized bowl with the peach preserves, jalapenos, and green onion. Give the dip a good stir.

I mean, this Peach Dip a PARTY DIP, after all! Let loose, have fun!
Mix it up and then transfer it to your favorite dip dish. I'm not gonna lie, I have a crush on the ones from Mud Pie ever since my parents gave me the taco bar platter that said, "Let's taco 'bout it." And then there's the "It's five o'guac somewhere..."
Clearly, I'm their target market! 😆

Refrigerate until you're ready to serve.
Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.
Serve this peachy, cream cheese delight up with some crackers, like Ritz or Townhouse, or whatever the version is they sell at Aldi, otherwise known as my favorite hangout.
If you’re offering a few different dips at your get-together, this fresh spinach artichoke dip (no mayo) balances out the sweet heat beautifully.

This recipe is my new go-to for parties! I’ve made it multiple times and it always gets tons of compliments!!
Tip: if you’re like me and wait until last minute to buy party food, use the whipped cream cheese instead. I’ve made it both ways and they’re both delicious!
