Ingredients
This recipe only requires five ingredients and some of them you will already have in your kitchen.
- semi sweet chocolate chips - Chocolate chips is where the chocolate element of the fudge comes from. Can't have fudge without chocolate!
- sweetened condensed milk - This can be found at any grocery store in the baking aisle in a can. This ingredient helps to thicken the fudge making it rich and indulging.
- peppermint extract - Helllllo, flavor! The peppermint extract goes in the fudge and is where the minty flavor in the fudge comes from.
- unsalted butter - Unsalted butter is a staple in most baking recipes, so I'm willing to bet you already have this one on hand.
- candy canes - This is where the minty flavor and fun garnish comes into play. The peppermint extract provides the flavor in the fudge, and the candy canes are for the topping.
