Slider recipes are a mainstay of farm approved tractor meals. Farm wives around the country are nodding their heads right now...from cheeseburger sliders on Hawaiian rolls to funeral sandwiches and Philly cheesesteak sliders, they're an industry mainstay, wouldn't you say?

So it should come as no surprise that this super easy Italian slider bun recipe makes an appearance quite often around here.
Italian sliders are also an easy dinner idea. Our kids never turn these down, even the picky eaters!
Sliders on store bought or homemade Hawaiian rolls make the perfect party food or field meals! I love that these savory and cheesy bundles can be served warm or at room temperature, making them ideal for a cold lunch idea or on game day!

Let's talk ingredients for a second. One stop in your deli is all you need to get rolling!

Rolling...As in Hawaiian rolls?? Ahhhh, so punny. Anyway...
- Hawaiian Rolls
- Provolone Cheese
- Red Onion
- deli pepperoni
- Genoa salami
- ham
- capocollo or other Italian style meat
- Italian Seasoning
- ¼ cup Italian salad dressing
You can use any different deli meats that you like. You can make these slider sandwiches with mini rolls, too!
How to make easy Italian Sliders
These mini sandwiches are easy to assemble and to make it even EASIER, I've got step by step direction for you!
Step 1: Prep your slider buns.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Keeping the 12 rolls together, use a serrated knife to cut the Hawaiian rolls in half, creating a top and a bottom.
Put the bottom half of the buns in an oven safe pan.
Step 2: Layer, layer and then - layer.
Layer half the cheese, then all of the onions and meats on the bottom half of rolls. Add another layer of cheese. Place remaining half of rolls on top.
Pour salad dressing on top of bread, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
Note: If you want to add a little extra spice, you can sprinkle some red pepper flakes on the top before baking!
Step 3: Bake the sliders
Cover with foil and bake, 15 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted. Remove foil and cook for 5 more minutes.
Step 4: Wait a few minutes
Cheese and meat right from oven tends to have a molten lava like quality. Allow your sandwiches to cool slightly. Cut & devour.

Anything goes with these sliders. Chips, pretzels, some fruit. You name it!

- ⅛ cup red onion thinly sliced
- ¼ pound deli pepperoni

Instructions
TO MAKE FRESH

TO COOK FROM A FREEZER MEAL
- Thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Pour salad dressing on top of bread, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
- Cover with foil and bake, 15 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted. Remove foil and cook for 5 more minutes. Allow to cool slightly. Cut & serve.
