Ingredients

Sliders:
- Hawaiian sweet rolls or slider buns
- deli sliced roast beef - or use leftover roast beef
- provolone cheese - cheddar cheese or Swiss cheese work, too!
- sauce - Dijon mustard, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds (or sesame seeds)
Horseradish Mayo (optional but recommended):
- mayonnaise, prepared horseradish, lemon juice, garlic powder
How to make roast beef sliders
Before you get started, make the horseradish mayo. That allows the flavors to start blending.

- Step 1: Prep the rolls. Slice the package of rolls in half horizontally, keeping the loaf intact. Place the bottom halves on a foil-lined baking sheet.

- Step 2: Assemble the sliders. Spread a thin layer of horseradish mayo on the bottom halves. Layer on the roast beef and top with cheese slices. Place the top halves of the rolls back on.

- Step 3: Make the butter topping. Whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and onion powder. Pour evenly over the tops of the rolls, sprinkle with poppy seeds, and cover with foil.

- Step 4: Bake. Heat oven to 350°F. Bake covered for 10 minutes, then remove foil and bake an additional 2–3 minutes until tops are slightly golden brown and cheese is melted.

- Step 5: Serve. Slice into individual sliders using a serrated knife. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!

- Potato chips (always a classic)
- Air fryer sweet potato wedges
- Creamy potato salad or coleslaw
- Pickle spears or mini veggie cups
Make-Ahead & Storage Tips
If your day gets away from you (we’ve all been there), assemble the sliders in the morning, refrigerate, and bake them later. Just add a few extra minutes to the bake time if they’re chilled.
- Sliders can be frozen before baking—wrap tightly with foil and bake from frozen at 350°F for 15–18 minutes.
- Leftover sliders keep in an airtight container in the fridge for 2–3 days.

Hawaiian Roll Roast Beef Sliders
Send me this recipe!
Ingredients
- 1 pound deli sliced roast beef
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 1 package King's Hawaiian Rolls or similar slider buns
- 1 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons poppy seeds
For the horseradish mayo
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 Tablespoon prepared horseradish
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Make the horseradish mayo. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, prepared horseradish, lemon juice and garlic. Stir to blend and set aside.
- Prepare the rolls. Cut the entire package of rolls in half horizontally (do not slice into individual rolls). Place the bottom portion of the buns on a foil covered baking sheet.
- Spread a thin layer of the mayo sauce on the bottom half on the rolls.
- Layer the roast beef slices and cheese slices on the bottom half of the rolls. Replace the top of the rolls.
- Prepare the topping: In a medium bowl, whisk together dijon mustard, melted butter, onion powder and Worcestershire sauce. Pour the sauce over the rolls, just covering the tops. Sprinkle with poppy seeds. Cover with foil.
- Heat the oven to 350° (there's a reason I don't preheat the oven. This gives the topping to have time to soak in.) When the oven is heated, bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Remove foil and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the tops are slightly golden brown.
- Slice into individual sliders using a serrated knife.
