Overnight Stuffed French Toast

Ingredients

  • 12 slices raisin bread
  • 3 ounces cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup orange marmalade
  • 6 eggs
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  • Spray a 13 x 9 inch casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Spread cream cheese on 6 slices of raisin bread. Spread orange marmalade on top of cream cheese. Lay the six slices of coated bread into the casserole dish. Top with remaining six slices of bread.
  • In a large bowl, combine eggs, milk and vanilla. Beat with a whisk to combine, then pour the egg and milk mixture over the bread.
  • Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.

To Bake

  • Remove the casserole 30-60 minutes before baking. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 45 minutes until eggs are set and bread is golden brown.
  • Serve with warm maple syrup.
