Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cold water

Instructions

  • Add water: Pour 1 cup of water into the bottom of the Instant Pot.
  • Add the beef: Place the trivet inside the pot and set the frozen ground beef on top.
  • Pressure cook: Close the lid and cook on High Pressure for 8 minutes.
  • Quick release: When the timer finishes, carefully perform a quick release.
  • Break up the beef: Remove the beef from the pot and break it apart using a spoon or meat chopper.
  • Finish cooking: Return the beef to the Instant Pot and turn on Sauté mode. Cook until the beef is fully browned and crumbled.
  • Drain excess grease if needed and use in the recipe of your choice!
