- 1.5 pounds fresh Brussels sprouts washed, trimmed and cut in half.
- 4 slices bacon chopped
- 2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- salt and pepper
Heat a cast iron skillet or other oven-safe pan over medium high heat. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
In a bowl, combine Brussels sprouts and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Toss to combine.
Add Brussels sprouts to heated skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until the sprouts begin to brown. I like to flip most of mine to have the cut side down so they brown nicely.
Add the chopped bacon and stir to combine. Place in the oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through the cooking time. Cook until sprouts are browned and tender and bacon is cooked.
Remove from oven and enjoy!
This is a great recipes for a cast iron skillet! As mentioned in the instructions I like to flip mine to the cut side down so they brown nicely, but you don't have to.
These brussels sprouts taste awesome warm from the oven or at room temperature.
