It's easy to make homemade taco seasoning. In fact, you may have most of the spices in your kitchen already! Make a batch of this instead of a taco seasoning packet for easy taco meat every time.

- ½ cup chili powder
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 Tablespoon paprika
- 1 Tablespoon cumin
- 1 Tablespoon black pepper
To make: Combine all ingredients and mix together.
Store in an airtight jar or container.
To use: Add 1-2 Tablespoons seasoning with ¼ cup water to one pound cooked meat as you would with regular taco seasoning.
The crushed red pepper flakes give a little bit of heat. You can omit if you prefer a very mild taco seasoning
If you have chipotle chili powder or Mexican oregano, these this is the perfect time to put them to use.
