Makes 4 Servings
- 4 bone-in pork chops about 1-inch thick
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
Farmhouse Grill Rub
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
In a small bowl, mix together all rub ingredients.
Brush pork chops with olive oil on both sides.
Rub seasoning mixture evenly over each pork chop.
Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
Grill pork chops for 5–7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F.
Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
This recipe calls for 1 inch thick pork chops. If you're using thicker chops, increase the cooking time. Again, a meat thermometer will help you know when they're done without having to cut into the pork.
- Bone-in chops help retain moisture and add flavor.
- The brown sugar in the rub creates a flavorful crust on the grill.
- Letting the meat rest keeps the juices in the pork.
